🎶🎤✨ Thinking of all the wonderful performances and events I’ve done thus far this year.

Stagetime is magic
Engaging with people is magic

It feels like the experience of losing my mom last year has added so many new layers to what I bring; more emotional depth, closer engagement, taking more time to prepare my performances, not avoiding uncomfortable situations anymore. Feeling more neutral, confident, spontaneous and standing in a different power of ‘me’.

What being and walking aside my mom for the last 6 months of her life has shown me is that:

✨ not everything is changable or makeable - and it doesn’t have to be

✨ the only thing we can truly ‘control’, manage and get wiser about is is what happens in our own head

✨ what we feel is often a mix of what moves within ourselves together with what we pick up from others; the ebbs and flows come and go over time and make us wiser for the moments to come

✨ we can be of great influence and inspiration if we act from authenticity in the now moment, which can also be different in the next moment

✨ all our talents and gifts are highly individualized and incomparable with others, yet they can inspire others to discover themselves

✨ our souls al have and individual paths to walk and to experience & we all carry a different specific energies to add to other peoples lives

✨ everything happens in divine timing

Honestly I’m still healing and processing and I often still feel tender and scattered, yet it goes hand in hand with creativity.

I’m Grateful I have stepped into my drag again, which inspires me to use my hands, my voice, my vision and my body to share

Thank you all so much for your support and your faith in me, and for welcoming me ‘back’, you know who you are

Hey Darlings, I’m taking a break from Drag.
At least for July.

Lately I’ve been wondering if my Drag is great enough - or not - to continue with it, so I wanna take some space to re-evaluate

I’ve not been feeling her as I used to, to be confident in my Drag and to enjoy it - before, during and after the gigs

Also I’ve not really been enjoying the atmosphere and energy in the scene lately. How people treat each other, the great amount of stupidity amongst people, the sudden fights, ego, proving, misunderstandings, bullshit, pretense, unhappiness, the politics, the abuse of/with the rainbow-agenda, the ‘business’ people think they do, so many people believing they have to own a boxed identity while vilifying other peoples choices…

Of course it’s different per individual, situation and venue - and depends on how all of that is received and interpreted by myself and other parties

- at times, I’m not the easiest myself either - and I know that is never with ill intent

Of course there are a lot of great and fun moments, yet it does not match up for me anymore right now

If I pull it back to me, it’s got everything to do with the direction I’m going and to follow what lights me up

I’ll still be doing the gigs that I’m booked for

I might be bookable if I enjoy your presence and working with or for you

Who knows…

It’s been fun - Thank you for all the opportunities and wonderful connections

Lots of you DO light up my life and my heart
